There are unnecessary amputations, falsely advertised quick fix methods to common problems and not even attention paid to the most serious ones. We aim to change all that and provide state of the art, industry leading care and treatments so that we can save not just your feet, but your quality of life.
The motivation for this institute was personal and driven by passion, simply because a lot of our founding members and team saw their parents, siblings and grandparents not afforded state of the art treatment and were forced to sacrifice their limbs due to diabetic foot conditions and forced amputations. The institute was founded by Dr. Emerson Budhoo who is also our chief surgeon. Dr. Budhoo is a specialist in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery. He graduated in 2006 from Medical School and went on to further his career by becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. During his training he was successful in a myriad of courses while simultaneously presenting at several international conferences. He successfully completed his post graduate program as a Doctor of Orthopaedic Medicine at the University of the West Indies and went on to successfully complete the orthopaedic exam in the United Kingdom making him a Fellow of the Royal College of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeons in the UK. He also undertook a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery at Northern General Hospital in England. He specializes in many conditions related to the foot and ankle such as Diabetic feet complications, ankle arthroscopy for sporting injuries of the foot and ankle, bunions, neuromuscular problems leading to a high arch foot and many more. He is also currently an examiner for final year medical students and an international lecturer for the Trauma and Orthopaedic courses.
Having completed the Hair Transplant Course, Dr. Emerson Budhoo has now added this new skill to his growing portfolio.
